Second, try to run the upgrade advisor to see what problems you are going to have. It should tell you if your printer manufactuer is going to support your it is a very nice operating system. i'm enjoying using it. soon all programs will run on it except for some very old ones that can run on a 64 bit computer.

Vista is all about new hardware. And I'm sure there will continue to be users who run x86 because they can manage to get their old scanner to work in it, or whatever. Fine, they shouldn't be running x64 anyway. Why should they write 64-bit drivers for Vista when they haven't for the current XP 64.

The workaround was to grab a Win98 cd I had for another computer and upgrade Win95 to 98. The clean install directions I used successfully were from Mike Murphy - and it was for a 64-bit system eventhough my computewr is a 32-bit. SP2 ATI Radeon X1650 XT Graphics card 42.5 GB of free space left on HD I thought I had a great computer and after running the vista upgrade advisor I thought I was golden.
